Demand Planning / Supply Chain Manager (f/m)

High-quality fresh chocolate - that's what the Swiss chocolate manufacturer Läder-ach stands for. The company's headquarters are located in the canton of Glarus. Here, against a picturesque Alpine backdrop, we produce our fresh chocolates and are constantly developing new, innovative ideas in agile teams.

Our “Supply Chain Management” business unit is responsible for all supply chains end to end operations from purchasing to warehouse logistics. From our main warehouse in Bilten, we organize the flow of goods and deliver to our chocolateries and warehouses around the world. 

This position is for the new office located in Tokyo Japan, just started with 3 stores launched in 2025 September.  We are looking for a motivated and experienced team member to strenghen our demand-planning and supply chain function to excel our business to deliver our high-quality chocolates to more customers.

Your Responsibilities
  • You oversee and continuously improve end-to-end supply chain processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective delivery while optimizing sales and minimizing losses
  • You analyze demand trends and collaborate closely with HQ and 3PL partners to forecast accurately, plan production, and maintain optimal inventory levels
  • You manage inventory, logistics, and distribution to prevent stockouts, reduce waste, and guarantee on-time delivery with protected product quality
  • You ensure smooth customs clearance and quality control, resolving import or product issues quickly and effectively
  • You lead procurement and vendor management by sourcing materials, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong supplier relationships
  • You track KPIs, optimize processes, mitigate risks, and coordinate cross-functionally to drive a high-performing and resilient supply chain
What we expect from you
  • You bring over 5 years of supply chain experience in retail, ideally across both mature organizations and early-stage businesses, understanding best practices while building new structures.
  • You leverage ERP systems and apply strong knowledge of KPIs, demand forecasting, and inventory management to drive performance.
  • You use strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
  • You collaborate effectively with store managers and cross-functional teams to optimize sales and align supply chain strategies.
  • You analyze market trends and competitive data to generate actionable insights and management reports.
  • You demonstrate a hands-on, data-driven builder mindset, proactively improving processes and working closely with HQ and local stakeholders.
  • You communicate fluently in Japanese and at business level in English, and collaborate effectively with HQ and local team members cross-functionally
